About the Photographer
David Cannon, the world's finest golf photographer, took the beautiful images featured in GOLFLAND SCOTLAND and in GOLFLAND IRELAND. Amongst them are spectacular pictures of the golf courses at Carnoustie, Dornoch, Durness, Kingsbarns and Ullapool, as well as Ballyliffin, Enniscrone, Killarney, Portstewart and Waterville. He has spent a very busy working life photographing great golf courses, great players and amazing moments in the sport, including Seve's joy in 1984 on the 18th green at St Andrews and Jack's glory at Augusta two years later. He's photographed 130 men's majors and 80 women's majors. He is legendary in the world of golf photography and is just the second person to receive the PGA of America’s Lifetime Achievement Award in Photojournalism.
Nominative determinism is certainly a powerful thing( !), but Dave's great output is the result of mastery of his subject, industriousness and a love of sport.
